How can she lose weight?

Hello,My girlfriend is 5'3 and is a curvy size 6(US 2) but she would like to lose some weight around her tummy.Any ideas? She does tone her tummy, by using excersise equipment that mimics sit ups. But it doesn't seem to tone up like she wants it to.She eats well and drinks loads of water. Any other ideas on how to lose the weight?CheersP.S. This is not for me, to me she looks great as she is.
Answer:
sit ups, crunches and etc will only make belly look bigger since there is more muscle underneath the layer of fat.
the only way to lose fat is by overall weight loss. find calorie/fitness calculator on the net, enter all your stats and it will tell you how many calories you need a day to maintain, take off 300-400cal off that number and thats how much you need to lose.
eat 5-6 small meals a day (eat every 2-3 hours)
5-8 servings of fruit and veggies a day
8 glasses of water
have complex carbs for breakfast - they give you energy
have lean meat (protein) for dinner - repairs muscle
cardio exercise 4-6 times a week for 30-50min, light weight training
dont consume foods that are made of white flour (white bread, cakes, past etc.), sugar loaded foods (cookies, icecream, candy etc) and nothing fried, oily.
ofcourse you can spoil yourself once in a while with a little treat:)
stop eating sugar, sweets, too much fruit, candy, cake, simple carbs, white bread, etc.
if u think she looks great as she is then why ask??
She may want to try a low car low calorie diet. And cardio 45 mins a day would help.( 4 days a weeks)

im 5'2, after havin my first baby 4 yrs ago.i was a size 10 uk...was unhappy so i bought instant abs and after usin it 4 a mth i went to a size 6uk...n was happy with my figure basicly the machine help me in every area n my abs wer well toned..now i've stop usin instant abs as im 19 weeks pregnant.but after givin birth plannin on usin instant abs they fab
Cardio workout first thing in the morning, i.e. on the treadmill or an aerobic workout. That'll help burn the fat.Doing crunches or situps will only strengthen the muscle and not really remove the fat.
