How can I tone my thighs and calves?

I m a boy and am athletic. I would rather not run or do any high-imapct exercises. I dont have any special equipment like treadmills or elliptical machines.
Answer:
I would say that if you wanted to tone your thighs and calfs, you could do squats. They work your not only your thighs but your butt too. I do these everyday and swear by them! =]
A great way to tone ur thighs, calves, and butt would be to do lunges and calf raises. Works for me.
